“God said let us make man in our image.”
In Genesis 2:7, It states, “God formed man from the dust of the earth and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living Soul.” This is that vital flame of life, which alone burning upright in the human clay animates it and makes it live. At the same time our human clay, the dust, becomes our most sacred earth which manifest divine light into the world. Divine Light, from its state of potentia, manifests into an animated embodiment. How sacred our Earth our body truly is, especially when we realize a most beautiful Divine Light as a most wonderful presence having taken abode in it.
What a blessed and sacred temple the body of man truly is ! Weather consciously or unconsciously man has always strived to express this inner treasure, this inner gold as the alchemists call it. They also knew the sacredness of that which houses it. Man has gone out of his way to express this grandness and wonderment by imitating God and taking the dust of the earth, clay, stones, bricks, and mortar to build the most beautiful mighty structures. Structures such as temples, Churches, Cathedrals and Basilicas which truly represent what he himself is, the temple of God. He brought them to life by projecting into them his inner beauty, his divine light and bringing these Earth Structures to life. Giving them a Soul.
