The Solar Eclipse and Your Alchemical Path

Ancient Eclipse Glasses

Do you have your eclipse glasses ready? Many, no doubt, have already bought a pair of eclipse glasses and are ready for the amazing total solar eclipse(partial for those not on the path of totality, check nasa for data) this Monday August 21st. This solar eclipse can be seen in North America and excitement is rampant since the last total solar eclipse visible here was thirty eight years ago. Events like this were also mapped and an awaited by many ancient civilizations. In Mesoamerica during the Olmec/Mexica/Mayan times they viewed solar/lunar eclipses through obsidian mirrors disks…Ancient eclipse glasses anyone?(We would not recommend doing this as it is not safe)

Nasa Safety Excerpt/Pic

Looking directly at the sun is unsafe except during the brief total phase of a solar eclipse (“totality”), when the moon entirely blocks the sun’s bright face, which will happen only within the narrow path of totality

The Stellar Path/Spiritual Eclipse

In the spiritual sphere a solar eclipse can be compared to an initiate choosing to take the path of the Stellar being. What does this mean? The Solar/Sun/Fire/King path is intellectual thinking and some may call it the trait of the left hemisphere of the brain. The Lunar/Water/Queen path or the way of knowing as alchemist referred to it, is the trait of the lunar path and is indicative of intuition or right hemisphere dominance. The Stelar path is the merging of both the king/queen or the alchemical marriage. This stellar consciousness in Egyptian times was known as “intelligence of the heart.”

It is said that a wise man rules over the stars, but this does not mean that he rules over the influences which come from the stars in the sky. It means that he rules over the powers which exist in his own constitution.
